FAQ

Will eyelash extensions ruin my natural lashes?

No. If lashes are done improperly and carelessly, it can cause damage to the natural lashes. Lash artists will consider the length and condition of your natural lashes to determine the proper weight and length that your natural lashes can support. Each set varies depending on the length, quantity and strength of the natural lashes.

How long do lash extensions last?

The longevity of lash extensions vary depending on certain factors such as your natural lash cycle and how you care for them. It is advised you cleanse your lashes daily to remove excess oils and any buildup of makeup and debris.

How do I properly care for my lash extensions?

You will be given an aftercare card to take home with you so you know how to properly care for your new lashes. Washing your lashes daily is one of the most important factors in up keeping your lashes.

Why are lash extensions so expensive?

As lash artists, we always strive for quality and perfection. We spend hours on end practicing and perfecting our craft along with investing money into continuing education classes and finding the best quality products. Each look created is customized to you and only you as our eye shapes differ from others.

What is classic?

Classic lashes are one extension per one natural lash. Classic lashes mimic the look of mascara - natural, yet noticeable. The fullness of a classic set will be determined by the amount of natural lashes a client has. Classic is mainly recommended for clients with a fuller lash line, but its all about personal preference.

What is volume?

Multiple extensions (2-6+) are handmade, fanned and placed on one natural lash. The extensions used to create volume are lighter weight, so the natural lash is able to hold more than one extension and provides more coverage than a classic set. Volume lashes are soft and fluffy but can also be very full and dramatic depending on the amount of natural lashes a client has.

What is a fill? How often are fills needed?

A fill is needed to maintain your lash extensions and are recommended every 2-3 weeks to keep your lashes looking fresh and full. Our lashes grow and shed at different rates. Each extension that has been fallen off is replaced with a brand new lash and any outgrown lashes will be removed. At least 40% of lashes must be remaining to qualify for a fill.

What is the difference in volume fill times?

Longer fill times allow for more lashes. More time = more lashes. Volume 1.5 hour fill is best recommended every 2-3 weeks for maximum coverage.

How do I prepare for my appointment?

Please arrive with no makeup on or around the eyes to create a secure bond between the natural lash and extension. Do not use an eyelash curler before your appointment. Avoid caffeine before your appointment as it can cause your eyes to flutter.

Can I use mascara on my lashes?

No, mascara will not be needed as it can cause extensions to fall off quicker, ruin volume fans and is extremely hard to remove. A removal and full set may be required if excessive amounts of mascara is used.
